Ahmad was also provided an additional uplift, as his son, Ikhsan has been in control to keep his release from Norweigan club Raufoss IL for the biennial matches.

The 20-year-old Ikhsan is the main striker from the senior squad with the record of seven goals coming from the 16 appearances. He stated:

“It will be challenging campaign ahead going up against tough opponents in the group stage, but we have faith in our players. We know that they are fighters…. Win, lose or draw, they will fight.”

The Youthful Lions has the record of drawn within Group B with Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Laos and Vietnam and they weren’t able to reach the knockout stage at three coming from the last four SEA Games.
